This book presents the information about the sahitya akademi and various sahitya akademi awards in Guajarati literature. Sahitya Akademi Award is given each year, since 1955, by Sahitya Akademi (India's National Academy of Letters), to writers and their works, for their outstanding contribution to the upliftment of Indian literature. Akademi gives 24 awards annually to literary works in the languages it has recognized and an equal number of awards to literary translations from and into the languages of India, both after a yearlong process of scrutiny, discussion and selection. Krupal Macwan has completed her MA, M Phil in Gujarati literature, MEd and presently pursuing her PhD in Gujarati literature from Sardar Patel University, Gujarat. She is working as Adhyapak Sahayak at Sardar Vallabhbhai Stree Adhyapan Mandir, Nadiad, Gujarat. She has been awarded by Gold Medals for her outstanding performance during BEd and MA.
