Beschreibung

Nigeria is richly endowed with a variety of solid minerals ranging from precious and various stones to industrial minerals such as barites, gypsum, kaolin and marble among others. These minerals if harnessed will lead to economic development. The problem therefore is that the level of exploitation of the minerals is very low in relation to the extent of deposits in the country. This book delved into how solid mineral sites can be exploited in order to contribute to economic development in Nigeria. The book also outlined the challenges confronting solid mineral exploitation and how such challenges can be overcome. Also emphasis was laid on the role of communication in creating awareness on solid mineral deposits in digital age in order to attract investors because information is very powerful. The target audience that this book is meant for include the government, stake holders, both local and foreign investors, the arsenal miners, and the general public who are interested in the book.
