Beschreibung
Dictyota dichotoma is valuable seaweed because of its promising nutritive composition as it contains organic constituents, minerals and growth hormones. The present work reveals the antioxidant activities of different solvent extracts of Dictyota dichotoma. The problem of secondary salinization, arising from the less efficient irrigation practices particularly in the developing countries, poses a serious problem to the productivity of rice. This study reveals that Dictyota dichotoma extracts were efficient in relieving salt stress on rice germination. Also, algal amendments improve germination, vegetative growth and yield of Oryza sativa.
