Beschreibung
Forestry Policy Despite the most extreme pressures from industrialization, self-sufficiency endeavours, and in times of trial, our forests today are productive, and attractive even in terms of nature conservation. Sustainable forestry is dependent on the commitment of the forest owner to sustainability, but also on the financial state of the forestry enterprise. It is endangered by the exploitation of virgin forests internationally, and by unpaid self-service in our own forests. Forestry policy must be based on an understanding of the interrelationships in which the sustainable existence of forests can be ensured.
