This book tries to explain the scientific basics, causes, and present-day impacts of the climate crisis in layman's terms. Its richly illustrated texts remain grounded in everyday life when they explore what gigantic Ecological Footprints we leave behind-and what we can do to shrink them. But as important as individual contributions may be, they will not suffice to bring about the necessary change. Science is unequivocal about this: Only few precious years remain to substantially curb global greenhouse gas emissions and limit global heating to 1.5-2 °C. Should we fail, we would lose all control over how climates and our living environment will evolve. But for the first time many of us now stand united as Earth citizens in a fight for a better world for all on one planet Earth-no matter where and who we are, but aware that the time to act has come NOW. Christian Schienerl studied political science, communications, and film in Vienna and New York. Since 1999, he has been working as a freelance book designer in Vienna. "NOW" is his first publication as an author.
