This book intend to provide combined effects of physiotherapy with yoga for the management of COPD Patients.Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease is a common respiratory disease, which produces cough and breathlessness. In India and other developing countries, factors such as air pollution, both indoor and outdoor, play a larger causative role. COPD if unaddressed leads to deviation from health. The aim of the study is to compare the effects of pursed lip breathing and Pranayama (Kumbhaka) on pulmonary in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease patients.The author concluded that Pursed lip breathing and Kumbhaka when performed improves pulmonary function in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease patients.
