Beschreibung
The cation exchange capacity (CEC) is a physical-chemical property dependent on soil constituents. This study aims to discuss the contribution of organic compounds and clay to the CEC values. Six analytical methods for determining CEC in tropical soils from Atlantic Rainforest and Amazon Rainforest were tested, aiming to define what the most appropriate on the requirements: analysis time, degree of reliability and cost of operation.
