Enzymes are biological catalysts. Enzymes catalyze, and accelerate chemical reactions. During the chemical reaction the molecules at the beginning of the process are called substrates and the enzyme converts these into different molecules, called products. Almost all metabolic processes in the cell need enzymes in order to occur at rates fast enough to sustain life. The set of enzymes present in a cell determines which metabolic pathways will occur in that cell. The study of enzymes is called Enzymology. This report focused on plant and microbial production, purification and application of -Amylase.

I have done Master in Science Biotechnology from Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University Raipur and currently working as a research associate at Nitza Bioventure Hyderabad.Having research interest following areas includes Enzymology,Plant Biochemistry,Microbiology,Environmental and Industrial Biotechnology,Protein purification,Metabolites Extraction.
