Beschreibung
The work is devoted to the history of relations between confessions in Cyprus. The features that we seek to identify by analyzing the experience of dialogue between Christians and Muslims are aimed at answering questions in similar situations that are important for the parties to this dialogue to understand. For this reason, it is useful to analyze the principles of coexistence of such groups of people who live in the same territory. The theme is relevant in the light of contemporary life: migration in order to obtain the desired education, work or better economic life, seeking salvation from unemployment or military conflicts. Those who arrived often belonged not only to a lower level of income, but also to another religion. Communication difficulties arise and conflicts are more likely to have religious roots. The period of interrelations chosen for research is relatively short and is as close to our time as possible; it allows us to follow the development of events and apply the experience gained in practice.
