This endeavor proposes a comprehensive qualitystandard for Indian wine in harmony with differentinternational standards. Along with the routineparameters it also recommends monitoring of thecompounds characteristic to specific grape varieties;safety assessment by screening for the residues ofspoilage compounds and variety of contaminants thatmight find their place in wine from direct andindirect sources. Thus a holistic quality assessmentwill be possible, which will improve the image ofIndian wine in the international arena and establishits own footprint in quality.
