Beschreibung
Carrying out addiction treatment places high demands on therapists. This book provides practical solutions for therapeutic management of the typically ambivalent attitude of dependent individuals towards their own addictive behaviour and for ways of developing motivation for change. Evidence-based behavioural therapy interventions are clearly presented and combined with findings from effectiveness research to move towards a form of addiction therapy based on effect factors. The focus is also on the important aspect of quality of life and individualized life designs that meet their own needs for people who want to overcome their addiction.
